Hirotec was recently awarded the prestigious honour of partnering with the University of Western Sydney to deliver the Hawkesbury Forest experiment project.

The project is a carefully integrated program of experimental and modelling approaches. The centerpiece of the project is a field facility with 12 CO2 and temperature-controlled whole-tree chambers provided by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. The whole-tree chambers can house entire trees up to 12 meters tall. This unique facility is the first of its type in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere.

Hirotec’s scope was to carefully develop and control the conditions in the chambers in order for the experiment’s to be successful.
